Register for 2023 Retreat

The WinE Committee is pleased to announce the 11th retreat will be held in connection with EEA-ESEM 2023. The Econometric Society will once again be joining forces with the WinE in the organisation of this mentoring retreat.

Dates and Location

The retreat will begin at around 2pm on Sunday, August 27, and conclude at lunchtime on Monday, August 28, just before the start of EEA-ESEM 2023. All details will be given out on acceptance of application.

What's Included?

The Retreat is subject to a registration fee of €100. Mentees who attend the Retreat will be able to apply for a travel grant of €100. There will be presentations from top female economists during the afternoon of day 1, while day 2 will focus on smaller group sessions. There will be a networking reception on the evening of Sunday August 27.

Deadlines

If you are interested in participating, please complete the application form in the next section below. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, February 28.
All successful applicants will be informed of participation by April 30, 2023.

Who Can Apply

The Retreat is open to early career female and non-binary economists with positions (post-doctoral fellows, lecturers, researchers) at academic and research institutions and who obtained their PhDs between 2018-2023.  All participants at Retreat must be must be a member of the EEA or ES.

Please note that due to such high demand of the Retreat, and limited spaces available, applications by participants at previous retreats cannot be accepted.
